The Department of State Services (DSS) on Saturday grilled the Kogi State governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the November 11th election in the state.
The State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo has disclosed the reason for the session, and the outcome.
Fanwo said that Ododo was invited to answer questions regarding a petition against him by some members of the opposition.
“He was invited by the DSS and as a law abiding citizen who is aspiring to lead the state, he honoured the invitation.
“The allegations contained in the petition are frivolous and unfounded, but it was incumbent on the APC Governorship Candidate to respect a constituted authority such as the DSS.
“Alh. Ododo was drilled by a team of Operatives at the DSS for hours and he gave convincing explanations to the interrogators,”he said.
He commended the professionalism of the DSS and pledged to cooperate with the agency towards a peaceful election.
He also assured supporters of the ruling APC that the candidate had since left the DSS to continue his consultations, urging them to remain peaceful in their activities.
