Undaunted in the push to study Medicine, become a Medical Doctor and contribute to the medical profession in Nigeria, a student from Kogi State, Isaac Alaba David has demonstrated uncommon brilliance by acing three Joint Admission and Matriculation Board examinations for the third time in a row.
David from Okehi Local Government Area of the state has scored 314, being one of the best best results reported in the 2022 JAMB exams.
His story of acing JAMB started after he graduated from Community Model College in 2020 when he scored 263, and went ahead to write Post-UTME at Bayero University Kano with an aggregate score of 272. He was denied admission because of a merger of two sets in the school.
In 2021, he told ebirareporters.com that he took JAMB again and scored 246, and was admitted by Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, but ditched it because he was not given the course, Medicine, which he applied for.
“I made up my mind to give this year my best shot. All thanks to God and a social media group (CHAMPS) which ensured we studied 24/7 per day. Determination is what keeps me going,” he said.
The story is no different in his O’level result, with 3As and 5Bs in his West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
According to David whose parents are low income earners, he is not giving up on his aspiration to study Medicine and Surgery at the prestigious Bayero University Kano, calling for supports to fulfill his dreams.
