Kidnapped Always Petroleum Chairman, Idris Regains Freedom 

The Chief Executive Officer of Always Petroleum in Kogi State, Muhammad Jamiu Idris has regained freedom from his abductors.



Idris regained his freedom on Thursday evening, ebirareporters.com gathered.

The businessman was kidnapped two months ago from his Idare residence in Okene Local Government Area of the state.

Recall that the gunmen reportedly dressed in white, stormed the victim’s house on the day of Sallah with sophisticated weapon and whisked him away to an unknown destination.

“We did not know when they entered the house, until we heard shouts from his compound. By the time we could get there, they already moved him through the back road, ” he said.

The source disclosed that the gunmen set their vehicle on fire on a narrow road to buy time as they set off on foot.

“About seven of us tracked them, and when we got on a hill, we saw them afar trekking on foot. Then we started shouting. When they saw us, they left two of their men behind to wait while they continued,” an eye witness recounted.

Always, as he is fondly called, was reportedly beaten and tied before they whisked him away to an unknown destination.

ebirareporters.com reports that the victim was first kidnapped in 2018 while cooling off with friends around Post Office, Okene.
