The Kogi State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has elected Mr Usman Ogohi Samuel as Chairman.
Samuel from Dekina Local Government Area of the state emerged in an election conducted on Thursday at the Lokoja township stadium.
The Chief Returning Officer of the election, Mr. Oladele Nihi while announcing the result said Ogohi polled 186 votes, while his closest rival, Ben Jerry scored 40 votes.
Other contenders Job Amana Daniel got 3 votes while Farouk Onuh dropped out of the election.
Speaking after his declaration as winner, Ogohi extended the olive branch to his opponents, promising to work with all in uniting the members of the youth council.
