The people of Kogi State on Friday took to social media to react to the Presidential ambition of Prince Malik Ado Ibrahim, and especially emerging as the flag bearer of the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
Prince Ibrahim is the son of the paramount ruler of Ebiraland, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim.
Briefing newsmen earlier, the Ebira Prince said his first mission is to tackle insecurity, high cost of living and provide a veritable platform for all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic and religious affiliations.
“I like to see the future, I like to dream big, and I want to take people along that journey with me. So get your PVC, join the best party that will give you that ability,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prince Ibrahim hails from the same part of Kogi State, as Governor Yahaya Bello who is also eyeing the number one seat in the country under the ruling All Progressives Congress – APC.
While Prince Ibrahim has already emerged the flag bearer of his party, Governor Bello could only hope to get his party’s ticket in a race that the big wigs in the APC are running.
Thus, the people of Kogi State reacted to having two of their sons in the Presidential race, a novel experience in the history of the state.
Ebira Reporters gathered some of the reactions shared on Facebook by the people.
