…to assist them with admission if they pass
The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Yahaya Bello on Legal Matters, Barrister Shadrach Emmanuel has rescued students who were stranded in the payment of registration for the forthcoming Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB examinations.
The students, drawn from across the 22 wards in Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, had their hopes of furthering their education reawakened when they were almost given up due to financial constraints.
For Shadrach Emmanuel whose interventions over the years in the constituency have been about impacting the grassroots, quality education is one of his priorities in life, hence the swift support for the students when he got the reports that they were at the crossroad.
“News got to me that some students from my constituency, Adavi/Okehi wished to register JAMB/UTME and some even generated their profile codes but without any financial means to proceed.
“Well, with the little I could afford, we extended our hands across 22 wards in Adavi/Okehi federal constituency and paid the JAMB/UTME fees for them.
“It’s our hope that if they get required cut off scores, we will assist them in any way we can to secure admission for them.
“Quality education is one of my priorities in life. A society is developed by the extent of its educated populace,” he said.
The students who were accompanied by their various ward Chairmen, appreciated the intervention, stating that they have been motivated to see their education to a new height.
