At the various inaugurations Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has had for his appointees within his two terms of government, his mandate to them has always been about affability with their immediate constituencies or grassroot. While this has not been the results from most of those entrusted with this mission, as they might have naturally lost focus, one of the few who have held the words to hearts, actionably, is Barr. Shadrach Emmanuel.
As the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Legal Matters, one would have wondered how the mandate of grassroot-friendliness may have sufficed in his office, but he has over the years, and in recent times, justify that reaching out to home transcends the name of a portfolio. For him, his constituency is as important as nation building. Little wonder, the most recent of his outreach had feelers from his constituency raising his hands.
As an appointee who doubles as the National Coordinator fof PRESIDENTIAL GYB, an advocacy group for the realization of the presidential ambition of his boss, he recently visited his former primary School, Holy Trinity primary School in Okehi Local Government, Kogi State to bring succor and relief to vulnerable pupils whose parents could not provide uniforms and other learning materials for their wards.
He did not only provided these students with comfort of learning, but also equally identified those who could not pay their fee and put them on scholarship. The UBE students were not equally left out as he promised to pay their Junior WAEC fees.
He charged them to remain focus and committed to their studies, and commended the staff for their investments in the life of the children, urging their support to the administration and aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello.
In another development, the legal pundit had paid an unscheduled visit to the members of Nigerian Hunters Council (NHC) at their command, Irepeni Adavi Local Government to celebrate the season of Christmas with them. In appreciation of their love, zeal and patriotism for their father’s land, he gave them some security gadgets such as torchlights and equally handedover some cash to them for the celebration of Christmas.
The visit, according to the hunters was a moral booster and an acknowledgment of their voluntary sacrifice for the peace and security of lives and properties.
He as well appeal to good spirited individual to remember our security men who are working day and night to ensure peaceful movements and security of lives and properties.
This was why the Zonal Commandant of the group, Mall. Muhammed Musa who could not hide his joy, admitted that no individual had reached out to them in that manner before. He appreciated the demonstration of uncommon love and prayed hat God will reward him beyond imagination.
These altruistic actions are just to mention but a few of the silent achievements Barr. Emmanuel has helped the administration of his boss to garner, directly impacting the immediate constituency while brilliantly smoothing out the legal books, being his primary assignment.
Following up this mandate to the latter is a commendable feat when loyalty is discussed, leaving one to wonder how much more he would come through when entrusted with bigger assignments.
