The Kogi State House of Assembly on Wednesday set up a 7-man Ad-hoc Committee to investigate the Shares of the State in the establishment of Dangote Cement and other Companies.
This followed a motion moved by the Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole on resumption of Plenary on Wednesday, Tribune reports.
Prince Kolawole said despite the abundant natural resources in the State, it is still unclear the ratio of revenue accruing from companies operating in the State.
He noted that though investors are welcome to the State, Government will not fold its alms on non-payment of tax to the State by the Companies.
According to him, the move was not to witch-hunt anyone, but to ensure total compliance with State laws.
