Your Excellency sir,
REQUEST FOR THE PAYMENT OF SALARIES ARREARS
To start with, we want to congratulate your Excellency on your well-deserved VICTORY at the Kogi State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. It is a VICTORY for Democracy and the good people of Kogi State.
Your Excellency Sir, on behalf of the FORUM OF POLITICAL APPOINTEES UNDER WADA ADMINISTRATION, we the undersigned coordinators of the association write to BEG you in the spirit of KOGI AGENDA that you hold in high esteem plus the current economic hardship of our dear country, to plead with your Excellency to please consider the payment of our THREE MONTHS SALARY ARREARS to enable us remain ALIVE!
Your Excellency Sir, it will be recalled that all political Appointees under the Administration of Governor Idris Wada were owned FOUR MONTHS SALARIES and Former Governor Yahaya Bello out of his magnanimity paid one month before he left office in January 2024 with a promise to us that Your Excellency will continue where he stopped.
To show our unalloyed Loyalty and Support for your ambition to contest for the Governor of Kogi State, our Forum went the extra mile to campaign for you and your political party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
We took the ODODO/OYIBO GOVERNORSHIP PROJECT as our own project. We registered as a Support Group with the ODODO/OYIBO GOVERNORSHIP CAMPAIGN COUNCIL and obtained an authentic Certificate of Registration as a Support Group.
Going further, a campaign office for ODODO/OYIBO was secured and commissioned on your behalf by the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu before the election.
We also supported the ODODO/OYIBO CAMPAIGN COUNCIL with the printing of POSTERS, T-SHIRT AND FACE CAP, INSTALLATION OF GIANT BILLBOARDS across the State.
Your Excellency Sir, just recently, your colleague, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa gave approval for the payment of Salaries Arrears of political Appointees who served the state during the administration of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko
This development raised our hopes as both of you shared some dates with History.
Your Excellency became the Governor of our dear State on the 27th of January, 2024 just like the Governor of Ondo State assumed office on the 27th December, 2023.
Apart from being a member of the same political party, the All Progressives Congress APC, your Excellency was the chairman of the APC ONDO STATE GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARY ELECTIONS which delivered him as the candidate of the party for the forthcoming November Election in Ondo State
Our FORUM has become a Partner-in-Progress with your administration.
As one of the critical stakeholders in Kogi politics, we want to assure you of our continued prayers for the success of your administration.
Just yesterday, we lost one of our member, Dr. Ilemona (Fmr. D.G, Government House Administration) to the cold hands of death due to his inability to purchase drugs for medical treatment .
