Happening Now: FPI Security Unit Protests Unpaid Salary, Locks Students Out on Exams Day

The security unit of the Federal Polytechnic Idah in Kogi State, on the dawn of Monday locked the main entrance gate to the school, disallowing students and staff from entering the campus.

Ebira Reporters gathered that Thunderbolt as they are also called, took the decision in protest for their unpaid salaries and allowances.

The semester examinations were scheduled to resume today. 

At the time of filing this report, students who have papers today, have been left stranded at the gate, while others have resorted to using a “back road.”
