Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has approved the payment of outstanding salaries of former political appointees of his predecessor, Idris Wada between 2012-2016.
Two Representatives of the Forum of Political Appointees in the state, Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko and Kayode Olowomoran, disclosed the development in Lokoja, the state capital.
The Representatives who disclosed it during the installation of a giant billboard to appreciate the good work of Governor Yahaya Bello in the last Seven years in office, assured of the support of the forum.
They reassured Governor Yahaya Bello of their continuous support for his government, ahead of the November 11th Governorship election in the state.
The duo said:”We want to also take this opportunity to thank the Governor, once again,for his kind decision to approve the payment of our outstanding salaries.
“To be candid, we cannot thank the Governor enough for his magnanimity to approve the payment of our outstanding salaries which will commence very soon.
“Governor Yahaya Bello will go down in history as the architect of modern Kogi State after his tenure of office next year.
“We pledge to produce and install more giant billboards across the state in support of his administration in due course.”
