NSCDC Begins Mental Evaluation of Arms-Bearers in Kogi 

The Kogi State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has begun a forensic psychological assessment and evaluation of arms-bearing personnel in the state.



The State Commandant, Oyinloye Kayode John at the commencement of the programme on Tuesday, said the forensic test is in compliance with the new rules laid down by the Commandant General, Doctor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, that all Arms Bearing Personnel must embark on psychological assessment and evaluation to fit into the Arms Squad of the Corps.

He charged arms-bearing personnel of the Corps to be abreast of development in the usage of firearms.

According to him, the exercise would also assess the physical and mental fitness of the personnel involved to avoid the unprofessional use of firearms.

In a remark, the Head of Department Training, Assistant Commandant of Corps, ACC, Fashakin Adebayo warned the participants to eschew discipline during and after the exercise as that would determine their success at the end of the training.
