The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the last governorship election in Kogi State, Murtala Ajaka has responded to the statements of former Governor Yahaya Bello at the Saturday’s rally.
Governor Yahaya Bello at the endorsement rally for the reelection of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, assured the president of the support of the people of Kogi State.
He further stated that there is no opposition party in Kogi State.
Responding in a statement via his Facebook page, Ajaka said President Tinubu does not need deceit and intimidation, but genuine performance and credibility to earn the trust of Nigerians.
He said “it’s unfortunate that Yahaya Bello still believes the people of Kogi can be misled by his usual political theatrics.
“This is someone who couldn’t even deliver his own senatorial district during the last election, yet now claims he can deliver Kogi in 2027. The people of our state are wiser and will no longer be used as pawns in anyone’s political games.
“Kogites will vote based on performance, not fear. When the time is right, credible individuals with true political voice and moral standing will rise and their voices will be loud and clear. The era of deceitful politics and intimidation is over, and a new, conscious generation is ready to take charge.”
