KSU to Hold 6th Convocation, Announces Official Name Change to Prince Abubakar Audu University

The Management of Kogi State University has announced that Kogi State University, Anyigba is now known and called Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.

The formal announcement was contained in a statement signed by the Registrar of the varsity, Alhaji Nuhu Ahmodu Ahmed and made available to ebirareporters.com.

Recall that the University was renamed after the founding father and former Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu.

The change was official by the passage of the law “to repeal and reenact the law to establish Prince Abubakar Audu University” by the state House of Assembly, and assented to by Governor Yahaya Bello.

The statement urged “regulatory bodies and development patterns such as National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), other agencies and organizations to take note.

Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche has announced that the 6th Convocation Ceremonies of the varsity will hold from Thursday 27th January to Saturday 29th January, 2022.
