The Okun people of Kogi State living in Kwara State have supported the re-election of Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq in Saturday’s Governorship/House of Assembly elections.
They have resolved to ensure the victory of the governor and 24 All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidates.
The people, who spoke under the aegis of Okun Peoples Front (OPF), said AbdulRazaq achieved a lot in his first tenure and that a second term of office would enable him to consolidate his achievements.
OPF National President Ayo Abereoran said in a statement that this was the first time the Okun people as non-indigenes of Kwara State would publicly support candidate of any party, adding that they took the decision because of the performance of the governor in the last four years.
The people said AbdulRazaq was good in human resources and financial management.
They hailed the current administration for ensuring peace that made the state comfortable for growth and development.
“Mallam AbdulRasaq, the executive governor of Kwara State, beat our imagination in his developmental strides. We didn’t know him politically before, we only know him as a shrewd and cerebral business mogul.
