The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has denied media reports of suspending Senator Dino Melaye from the party.
Melaye is vying to flag the ticket of the party for the November 16th governorship election in the state.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the party, Farouq Yahaya, the party denied suspending Melaye, stating that at no did it contemplate suspension of the governorship aspirant.
The PDP further stated that the report was a mischief by trouble makers who are bent on causing crisis in the party, warning then to desist as the party draws nearer to the primary election.
The statement also urged members of the party and the general public to discountenance the report, which it described as fake news.
