Kogi Govt Sets N50bn IGR Target for KGIRS in 2024

The Kogi State government has reportedly set N50b IGR target for the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, KGIRS, for this year, 2024.

Investigation conducted by this journalist, revealed today, just as the service posted a total IGR of over N23b in 2023,a significant increase from the N18b figure recorded in 2022.

Speaking with this journalist, an impeccable source close to the service, was optimistic that the new target for this year is realistic and doable ,in view of the fact that the Executive Chairman of KGIRS, Alhaji Sule Salihu Enehe, has repositioned the service for optimal performance and tax payers compliance.

The management of the service is totally committed to ensuring that there is no hiding place for tax evaders and defaulters in Kogi State.

The staff of the service have been trained and retrained for higher productivity, while areas of leakages have been blocked.
