Ahead of the November 11th Kogi State governorship election, political parties have conducted primary elections to elect their flag-bearers and likely successors to Governor Yahaya Bello.
Baring any substitution of candidate by either of the parties within the period given by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ebirareporters.com complied a list of the candidates and their political parties respectively.
So far, there are 11 verifiable parties and candidates on the race, and they are:
1. Action Alliance (AA): Braimoh Olayinka
2. African Democratic Congress (ADC): Leke Abejide
3. Action Democratic Congress (ADP): Julius Elukpo
4. All Progressives Congress (APC): – Ahmed Usman Ododo
5. Allied Peoples Movement (APM): Dauda Isah
6. Labour Party (LP) – Adejoh Okeme
7. New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP): Musa Mubarak
8. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP): Dino Melaye
9. Peoples Redemption Party (PRP): Abdullahi Babayawo
10. Social Democratic Party (SDP) : Usman Jibrin
11: Young Peoples Party (YPP): Samson Omale
