Afrobeat star, Oluwajuwonlo Iledare ‘Jaywon’ has taken a swipe at the lawmaker representing his senatorial district, Kogi West, Sunday Karimi.
Jaywon, in an Instagram post, threw shades at the Senator for not adding value to his constituency after spending eight years in the lawmaking chambers in Abuja.
He said, “With a heavy heart, I write this. It’s truly sad that Senator Sunday Karimi has spent eight years in office, yet there’s absolutely nothing to show for his time as a representative of his own constituency.
“Over these eight years, Egbe(his own town) has been undergoing significant challenges, and even now, the situation remains dire.”
Continuing, Jaywon wrote, “It’s disheartening to have a leader you once had high hopes for, only to witness zero impact in the constituency, particularly in his hometown of Egbe in Yagba west area of Kogi State.
“The community deserves much better than empty promises and a lack of progress, especially with the abandonment of the power plant project the government promised. It’s time for real change and leadership that genuinely serves the people. I remembered when growing up years back in Egbe, we used to have good roads compared to now. It’s high time to put an end to bad governance.”
