It was gathered that 22 traditional stools were graded/upgraded in the Eastern senatorial district of the state while 27 and 25 stools were graded/upgraded in Central and Western axis respectively.

Part of the letter reads: “We wish to appreciate you for the continued effort to keep Kogi State safe. We wish to inform you that the recent announcement of the upgrade of traditional stools in Kogi State has generated a lot of anger and outcry instead of goodwill for your government.

“The Iist recently released is fraught with inequity, unfairness and very far from dispensing justice. The effort of Government in this regard has dealt a great blow on the supposed ranking of your government as detribalized.

“Your Excellency is kindly requested to correct the withdrawal of the list, set up a panel to revisit it, taking into cognizance the need for the Area Traditional Councils and the public to make input into the exercise. We continue to pledge our loyalty to your government while assuring you of the highest esteem of our regards.”
