Gunmen Kidnap Kogi Varsity Graduate 

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted one Michael Chukwu,who recently graduated from Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, Kogi State.

Chukwu who was undergoing his compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, was said to be kidnapped by the gunmen on Wednesday in Ebonyi State.

A Facebook user, Baba Martins who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Thursday, claimed the abductors contacted the victim’s family, demanding ransom.

“We wish to inform the general public to remember our brother and friend Michael Chukwu who was KIDNAPPED yesterday at his State of deployment (NYSC) Ebonyi State.

“He’s a graduate of Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba, from the department of Political Science faculty of Social Sciences. He’s a devoted Christian while campus.

“He worshipped at St Augustine chaplaincy Anyigba PAAU, an NFCSer, a CCRN member and other Societies in the church till he graduated last year October 2023.

“He was among the first batch that went to NYSC Campus late April to May, where he was deployed to serve at Ebonyi State.

“The kidnappers are demanding for ransom to be free, we pray God provides them the money. At this critical moment of ours, we ask the general public to pray for hand of God upon to be release soon.”
