As Governor, I’ll Pay Salaries Promptly – Dino Melaye

The Kogi State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11 election, Dino Melaye, has vowed to be prompt with the payment of salaries and pensions if voted into power by the people.

Melaye made the vow in Ayingba, Dekina local government area of the state during a stakeholders meeting with Kogi East PDP caucus.

He promised to absolve back into the state civil service those who were laid off during last retrenchment exercise by the present administration in the state.

“I will ensure prompt payment of salaries and pensions of all workers, no workers will be owed during our administration if elected,” he said.

He promised to be fair and just to all the people of the state irrespective of their religion and tribal status.

“If elected I will not be an Okun people governor, I will not be a Christian governor and I will not be bias in all my doing, I will be a true governor of Kogi State that will rule with the fear of his creator, God,” Melaye stated.

Dino also promised to reset the Kogi economy for the better by consulting elders in the land before final decisions are made.

In his own remarks the former governor of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, assured PDP members at the meeting that Melaye will not disappoint if elected as governor.

“Senator Dino will deliver if elected, I’m sure he will develop the state more than I did as a governor,” he said.

The former governor officially presented Melaye and his Deputy Hajia Habiba Deen to the gathering.
