Governor Yahaya Bello has invited all the 17 screened gubernatorial aspirants under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to a meeting on Saturday April 8th, 2023, baring any last minute change.
ebirareporters.com gathered that the meeting scheduled to hold at the state Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro Abuja, will follow a hitherto in-house meeting with the aspirants who had served in the cabinet of the Governor.
“The governor is expected to make a pronouncement on his choice of successor at the meetings,” an aide to one of the contenders told our correspondent.”
The meeting, noted to be strictly by invitation from the State Party Chairman, Abdullahi Bello, will also have all the serving legislators, newly elected legislators, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen in attendance.
Also, members of the APC State Working Committee have been invited.
The news of the invitation may have sent frenzy into the minds of supporters of various gladiators running for the party’s ticket, as the Governor’s declaration of support for either of them would be detrimental to many aspirations.
