The Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Suleiman Abdulrazaq Sariki, has promised integrity and accountability to his constituents, colleagues and the state while delivering on his new responsibilities as a lawmaker.
Sariki who is representing Okene I Constituency, made the promise in a statement on Tuesday, following his inauguration into the 8th Assembly, and election as the Majority Leader of the House.
He appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello whom he described as his father and leader concerned for him, adding that the Governor’s commitment to youth development is unrivaled.
The lawmaker noted the responsibilities ahead of him as a leader of the House, and vowed not to falter in the discharge of his duties.
“No greater honour can be done to a man than to be elected by his peers as their leader and standard bearer. It is an immense privilege to be called to serve as the Majority Leader, and I pledge to carry out my duties with utmost dedication, integrity, and fairness,” he said.
He thanked his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), his family and we’ll wishers.

Today, I took an oath to do stay right by you at all times, that oath represents my dedication to the commitment I have for your well-being always.
“I would also like to acknowledge the dedicated staff of the House of Assembly; their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to public service are commendable. Their invaluable support ensured the smooth functioning of this esteemed institution, and I look forward to working closely with each one of you,” he said.
