Kogi Guber: Youth ‘O Clock Mandate for Ododo Hits Ground, Adopts Khalifa Okene as Patron

Ahead of the November 11th governorship election in Kogi State, Nigerian youths under the aegis of Youth O’ Clock Mandate for Ododo (YCM) have commenced political consultations to garner support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The group working under the National body, Youth O’ Clock Nigeria, on Sunday convened a special session in Abuja where the members adopted business mogul and APC Chieftain, Alh. Khalifa Abdulrahaman Okene as patron.

 

Speaking at the meeting, the convener of YCM, Ismaila Otuoze said the choice of the Patron was inspired by his loyalty to the cause of the party in the state, and his demonstrated love for the candidacy of the party.

He noted that the patron has been zealous about the empowerment of youths and women across the country, expressing confidence that his support will greatly impact the success of the party at the November election.

The Director of Welfare and Logistics, Aliyu Mahmood Amoto underscored the roles of the organization during the last elections, emphasizing the need to replicate more strongly in the state.

He said the group was also pleased with the number of youths in Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration, and expressed confidence that Ododo will do more in raising youth leaders.

Amoto appealed to the Patron to take full adoption of the movement for the guber election.

On his part, Alh. Khalifa Abdulrahaman Okene appreciated the group for deeming him worthy to be patron, assuring the members of his full support towards a hitch-free campaigns and election.

He urged them to carry every nook and cranny of the state along in their political consultations and outreaches.

Part of the events of the meeting, was the unveiling of the group’s campaign t-shirts, facecap and other materials.

Also in attendance were the Group Adviser, Dr. Zara Onyinye; Organizing Secretary, Comr. Jibril Abbas and amongst others.
