Update on Yagba West: Votes Upturned, Six Invalid Votes Now Counted against Olafemi to Put Fanwo Ahead

In a last minute twist to the House of Representatives primary election of the All Progressives Congress in Yagba West, the electoral officer has declared six invalid votes against Folorunsho Olafemi who had the highest vote after votes were earlier counted.

By this development, Kingsley Fanwo with 72 delegate votes has now been placed ahead of Olafemi who now has 70 after the invalid votes were deducted.

Recall that ebirareporters.com had reported Olafemi as winner after the votes were publicly announced and recorded on the result sheet.

By the result sheet earlier recorded, Elijah Joseph scored 6 votes, Dele Obiniyi scored 16 votes, Folorunsho Olafemi with 76, and Fanwo with 72 votes.

On the developing story, the atmosphere in Yagba West was charged at the time of filing this reports, as supporters have alleged rigging by the returning officer.
