Sunday Bala to Gov. Bello, Onoja: ‘Apologise to Kogites For A Wasteful First Tenure’

The National President, Middle Belt Liberation Group, Comrade Sunday Bala Oma, has called on Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Dr. Edward Onoja, to apologise to the people of Kogi state for wasting fours years during the first tenure of their administration.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Bala said the governor and his deputy wasted their first term in office chasing after critics who meant well for the state, instead of concentrating on providing good governance to the people.

Bala, who was the youngest candidate in the 2019 Kogi governorship elections, also called that Bello and Onoja to publicly apologize to Kogites for conniving with the power at the center, to forcefully return themselves to power, which led to wanton loss of lives and properties.

He, however, commended the duo for the ongoing infrastructural development across the state.

“I wish the duo of GYB and CEDO will, in addition to the ongoing developmental projects, will see to the full payment of remuneration to civil servants at all levels in the state.

“This passionate appeal is being made, having realised that those who usually sing their praise with their lips may not always do same in their hearts, as seen in the recent activities leading to the 2023 general elections. A stitch in time, they say, saves nine,” he said.
