Sen. Ahmed Ogembe Assures of Winning PDP Primary, Says ‘People Call Me Empowerment Guru’ 

Former Senator who represented Kogi Central Senatorial District between 2015-2019, Ahmed Ogembe has assured of winning the ticket of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in his bid to return to the red chamber. 

 

Ogembe said this while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, where he faced the PDP National Assembly Screening Committee, headed by Jaro Egbo. 

The former lawmaker will be facing six other aspirants, including Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan who recently joined the party after leaving the Social Democratic Party, SDP. 

As the party candidate in 2019 who lost to Yakubu Oseni of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Ogembe stated that he is the “defending champion” of the ticket, expressing confidence to win it again in the PDP primary scheduled for may.

“I am the defending champion, the last ticket is with me, I am holding up to the cup and people are struggling to getting this cup. I can assure you, by God’s grace, I will be the champion again,” he said.

“With utmost humility, I have done very well in the senatorial district. People call me the empowerment guru. Street lights, boreholes and other infrastructures will provided for the people are still there,” Ahmed Ogembe said
