Rtd CCA President, Justice Moses Bello is Dead

……

Legal luminary and a former President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Moses Bello has died.

The Jurist who hailed from Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, passed on at the early hours of Thursday at the age of 68.

Justice Bello retired as the President of the Customary Court of Appeal three years ago, a seat he held for 25 years.

In his first post-retirement interview, he stated that

when it was time to retire, it seems as if you want to weep when you think about the fact that there is nowhere to go when you wake up in the morning. I will ask myself, what is all these? I am thinking whether to start farming, so that I will have somewhere to go every day. Even, if it is where I will go and spend up to three hours. Waking up and going to the office and get one or two things done are the things I will say I’ve missed. The staff, the cleaners and everyone I joke with are no longer there for me.

His son, Joseph Asuku Bello, is the current Member representing Adavi/Okehi Constituency at the House of Representatives.
