Police Arrests Man Who Killed Spouse in Kogi

The Kogi State Police has apprehended Siyaka Muhammed, the man who allegedly murdered his spouse, Aisha Aminu in Kogi, and had been at large.

The incident occurred on Wednesday June 8th, 2023 in Obehira, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.

According to reports, Muhammed, aged 44, allegedly stabbed his spouse multiple times in the early hours of that morning.

After committing the offense at about 6am,he fled the scene, an eye witness recounted.

The Force Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya stated that the police command was actively pursuing the suspect in order to arrest him for prosecution.

However, the Chairman of Kogi Central People with Disabilities Association (KCPWDs), Yakubu Nazir Abdulhakeem disclosed the arrest in a statement on Friday.

The deceased who was physically disabled, was a member of the association.
