The Kogi State Government has on Monday announced the new Attah of Igala, the paramount ruler of the Igala people.
The announced Attah of Igala is Prince Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa.
The announcement came over one year after the passing of the former Attah, His Royal Majesty, Michael Ameh Oboni II.
The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ozigi Mohammed Deedat made this announcement shortly after the State Executive Council meeting held in government house, Lokoja. Inside Story is reporting.
