Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has assured the stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of victory in the forthcoming November 11th governorship election in the state.
Governor Bello gave the assurance on Saturday at the party’s inauguration of National Campaign Council for the election in Lokoja, the state capital.
The Governor who hosted thr National Working Committee (NWC) members led by the Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, State Governors and other tiop echelons of the party, boasted the election was a done deal.
Bello stated that the people of the state believes in his leadership, the APC and thr governorship candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo whom he described as a sellable product.
“We don’t have any challenge, we don’t have anybody that is contesting this election with us. We have faced the most difficult elections in the past. The most difficult was the last one in 2023 when our funds were confiscated, when there was no fuel, when things were almost at a standstill, we won over 95 percent of all the elective positions in Kogi State.
“Now we have the Jagaban Borgu, the Asiwaju of universe, the master tactician, he is the helm of affairs. Aside God almighty, what are we afraid of? Nothing.
“Victory is ours. As from 12 midday of that November 11th, we shall be celebrating and be singing victory, ” Bello said.
He charged all the stakeholders to be issue-based in their campaigns, and refuse to be intimidated.
“Nobody ever tries GYB with violence, and goes scot free. Nobody should try anybody, or intimidate and threaten anyone with violence either in words or in action. That person will not go scot free,” he added.
He noted there is no class, ethnic and religious difference amongst the people of Kogi state, and warned against divisive politics.
He also assured the sustenance of unity in the state before, during and after the election.
