Kogi Works’ Commissioner Begs FG over Deplorable Ganaja Road

The Kogi State Commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere has appealed to the Federal Government to consider the plights of motorists and reorder contractors handling the Ganaja road in Lokoja back to site.

Ohere made the appeal over the weekend in a press statement, describing as worrisome, the harrowing experience of motorists plying the road following the sudden disengagement of contractors working on the road.

He said that efforts by the Federal Government to rehabilitate the road was received with joy and optimism by the people and government of the state, and however expressed dismay that such joy and optimism have been short-lived by the disengagement.

He noted that the disengagement of contractors is not in the best interest of the people of the state, noting that the road serves as a gateway from the North to the Eastern part of the country.

The Commissioner appealed to the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency intervene in ensuring that the road is revisited and completed.
