Kogi Lecturer Slumps, Dies While Teaching Students

A lecturer with the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Anselm Victory Ojodomo has died on Thursday after he slumped while teaching his students, throwing the academic community into deep mourning.

Ojodomo was actively delivering lecture to his students when he suddenly collapsed, causing panic among students present, sources within the institution revealed.

Eye witnesses confirmed he was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility for emergency care.

However, efforts to revive him failed and he was pronounced dead.

The news of his sudden demise has sparked outpouring of grief across social media, with students, colleagues and friends paying tributes in his honour.

“Only 6 hours ago he was active here on Facebook. Anselm Ahman Victory Ojodomo was an easy going fellow who is likeable. A young man with a very bright and illuminating future. The News of his sudden death is shocking. May his soul rest with the Lord,” Maji Isah wrote.

Farouk Naek Olamachene said, “it is still difficult to accept that you are gone Anselm Ahman Victory Ojodomo . Just yesterday, we spoke, and you shared words of hope, reminding me that our boss Usman Ogbo & God has a plan for us all and everything will be alright in due time. You spoke with strength, wisdom, and faith never giving any sign that this moment would come so soon.

“You were more than a lecturer, more than a boss you were a guide, a mentor, and a source of inspiration.

“Your sudden departure is a painful reminder that death is indeed a powerful force, one we cannot question or control. Yet, even in this pain, we hold on to the truth you shared, that God’s plans are higher than ours.

“Thank you for your patience, your knowledge, your leadership, and the impact you made in our lives. Your legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone you touched. Rest well, sir. You will always be remembered, always be honored, and never be forgotten.”
