Baring any last minute change, global afro-music star, Davido has been billed to grace the governorship campaign of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anyigba to woo supporters for the candidate of the party, Senator Dino Melaye.
The three day event billed to commence next week is aimed at showcasing, arousing, reinvigorate and mop up interests of the electorate at the grassroots for the PDP, the main opposition party in the state.
The standard bearer of the party, Senator Dino Melaye, gave the hint while hosting Stakeholders from Ankpa Federal Constituency in his Lokoja residence over the weekend.
Senator Dino noted that the three day campaign in the Kogi East is to reassure the electorate that their cherish party is still waxing strong capable of wrestle power from the APC.
He said, the seamless campaign train would move through the nine local Government areas of the zone and called on the citizenry to join him and PDP to rescue the state.
He added that it is only the PDP that has the wherewithal to win the all important forthcoming governorship election, as others are merely entertainers.
He disclosed that with Davido and other rising music stars on ground to add glamour to the campaign, assures of abundant menu and other necessities for members and supporters.
He called for massive mobilisation of the people, explaining that the reason for the party to delay its statewide campaign was a strategy and not that the party has fizzle out .
He disclosed that very important members of the Party across the country led by the Dancing maestro, Governor of Osun state , Senator Ademola Adeleke, his Oyo counterparts, Seyi Makinde and host of others.
