The Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State governor on Grassroots Sensitization and Mobilization, Hon. Excel Onuche David has denied media reports alleging he was dead.
In a rejoinder issued on Tuesday, Hon. David stated he is alive, hale and hearty; describing the reports as false, reckless and malicious.
“It is both shocking and irresponsible that such a sensitive story was published without any attempt at verification. This baseless report has caused unnecessary distress to my family, friends, associates, and countless well-wishers. I therefore demand the immediate removal of this false publication from all platforms where it appears and call on those responsible to cease further dissemination of this misinformation.
“I further demand a full retraction and unreserved public apology within twenty-four (24) hours. Failure to comply will compel me to take appropriate legal action against all parties involved in the publication and spread of this defamatory falsehood. I thank everyone who has reached out in concern and assure the good people of Kogi State that I remain committed to my duties and service to the state,” he stated.
