Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has sacked his Commissioner for Health, Dr Saka Haruna Audu over a reported allegations of misappropriation of funds.
Dr. Saka was in his second term as Commissioner for Health under Governor Bello before he was relieved of his appointment.
According to reliable sources in the State Ministry of Health, Saka packed out of his office on Tuesday, even as his sympathisers had reportedly pleaded on his behalf that his sack should not be made public by the Governor.
Meanwhile, ebirareporters.com learnt that he told some of his colleagues that he was only suspended.
In efforts to reach him for comments, it appeared that his contact may have been affected by the ban on phone numbers not verified by the National Identification Number, even as he has not responded to text message from our correspondent.
