The Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of the Lokoja Traditional Council, HRH Dr.Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III OON, has died.
The Monarch died on Thursday around 4pm, the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area has confirmed in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Muhammed.
“Innalillah waina ilai rajiun, with deep shock and hearty feelings to announce the sudden demise of our Royal Father, the Chairman Lokoja Traditional Council HRH Alh. (Dr.) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III OON.
“HRH passed on after a brief illness in Abuja and will be buried tomorrow Thursday by 4:00pm according to Islamic Rite.
“May his gentle soul rest in Janat Firdaus and grant us all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” he said.
