AEDC Apologises to Consumers in Abuja, Kogi, Others 

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has apologised to customers in its franchise area over the grid collapse which occurred on Monday.

AEDC’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Donald Etim, gave the apology in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.

He said that there was general outage across AEDC network at 10:40 a.m. on Monday due to system collapse which occurred in the national grid.

“Appropriate measures are now being taken to restore normal supply as quickly as possible.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences,” Etim said.

AEDC has an expansive franchise area covering the Federal Capital Territory, Niger, Kogi and Nasarawa States.

The total area of coverage is 133,000 km square.

The company is organised into nine regions and 39 area offices across the capital and the abutting four states.
