How Hoodlums Broke into Kogi Bank, Stole N21,910

Some unknown hoodlums in the early house of last Friday, broke into Lapo Microfinance Bank in Kogi State and made away with money.

The bank located at Lokongoma, Phase II Area of Lokoja, the state capital, had not opened for business when the hoodlums raided.

 

According to Daily Trust, a staff of the bank, who craved anonymity, said the “robbers” came to the bank which shared the same building with a political party, and broke in through a window and the ceiling, broke the vault, and went away with the money.

 

However, the Kogi State Police Command has described the incidence as a housebreaking and theft.

 

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya who confirmed the raid, said the thieves made away with the sum of N21, 910.

 

Aya said, “It was a case of housebreaking and theft. The thieves carted away the sum of N21,910.”
