PAAU Refutes Alleged Fee Hike, Says Uniform Structure Adopted for Kogi State Universities

The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has dismissed reports alleging an increase in tuition fees, clarifying that the institution only adopted a harmonized fee structure approved by the Kogi State Government for all three state-owned tertiary institutions.

In a statement issued by the university’s Director of Public Affairs, Uredo Omale, the institution addressed online speculations regarding recent adjustments in student payable fees.

“The University has not increased school fees,” the statement noted, adding that the newly implemented schedule represents a uniform fee framework across the state’s universities.

The statement advised students, parents, guardians, and the general public to disregard unverified social media reports and cross-check the approved fee schedules for corresponding academic programs at other Kogi State-owned universities.

Reiterating its dedication to responsible public communication, the management urged members of the university community to rely exclusively on official institutional platforms for accurate information regarding academic charges and registration guidelines.
