Barely two years after it commenced operation in Kogi State, Mangal Cement has secured three internationally recognized ISO certifications.
The company announced securing the certifications on Thursday as a huge achievement since rolling out its first bag of cement in August 2024.
The certification according to the company, cover quality management (ISO 9001:2015), environmental management (ISO 14001:2015) and occupational health and safety (ISO 45001:2018).
Mangal noted the 3 standards validate that its “systems and processes meet rigorous global standards across its operational value chain, from procurement and quarry extraction to clinker production, cement grinding, packaging, storage, and distribution.”
The Mangal Cement plant sits in Iluagba in Kogi State, producing an estimated 3-million metric tonne per year.
The Managing Director of the company, Engr. Fahad Mangal who is the son of the owner, Dahiru Mangal, had noted during the groundbreaking of the project that the cement plant and a 50megawatts power plant was part of the US$600million deal agreement between Mangal Industries and Sinoma International Engineering of China.
