Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf has resigned his appointments as the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, stating his decision was based on personal reasons.
Ahovi who was appointed by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo on February 5th, 2024 conveyed his resignation in a letter signed and addressed to the Governor through the Secretary to the State Government.
According to the former Commissioner, since assuming the position, “it has been a great honour and absolute privilege to have served under your administration, contributing my quota to community building and National development, particularly, in the area of infrastructural development. Words have really failed me to express how profoundly grateful I am for the confidence reposed on me in the discharge of my duties.
“As I step aside from this role, I’m forever grateful for the support and cooperation extended to me by Your Excellency and the entire members of the Executive Council. I am confident that under your purposeful leadership, Kogi State will continue to flourish and witness remarkable progress and transformation.
“Kindly accept my best wishes for your continued success, and for a fruitful and impactful tenure for you and your administration.
“To the good people of Kogi State, I sincerely appreciate your cooperation and support throughout my tenure as your servant. God bless you all. Better days lie ahead.”
