Former Niger Delta agitator and Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (popularly known as Tompolo), has donated 25 vehicles to the organization’s Kogi State branch to support grassroots mobilization for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The donation was announced on Monday in Lokoja by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, who represented Tompolo during the official inauguration of the movement’s state structure.
Pondi explained that the logistics support aims to take President Tinubu’s performance record to every household, market, and community across Kogi State.
He highlighted key federal reforms—including petrol subsidy removal, direct local government financial allocations, and decentralized electricity regulation—as measures that have increased revenue allocations to states for infrastructure and worker welfare.
“If somebody has done so much for you, what do you do for the person? You give him more,” Pondi stated, urging citizens to support continuity to consolidate ongoing economic reforms.
Speaking at the event, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo commended the group for the donation but emphasized that organizational strategy remains key to electoral success.
“Vehicles do not win elections, but people win elections, conventions win elections and organizations win elections,” Ododo noted.
The governor advised campaign coordinators to engage voters with verifiable facts regarding ongoing federal and state interventions, including the Abuja–Lokoja–Benin highway reconstruction, the Kogi International Airport project, the proposed Special Agro-Processing Zone, and regional security initiatives.
Earlier in his address, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, tasked volunteers with driving voter engagement beyond formal political rallies to secure grassroots support across all wards and settlements.
