The Head of Editorial, News and Current Affairs Department, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Mrs Lucy Damian has died.
Mrs Damian reportedly passed on in the early hours of Tuesday in Abuja, barely two weeks after celebrating her 50th Birthday.
She was also an ex-official of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the state,
Reacting to the demise of the veteran journalist, the State Chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists has expressed shock.
The Executive members of the NUJ in the state led by Adeiza Momoh in a condolence visit to the bereaved family, said Mrs Damian would be sorely missed for her contributions to promoting journalism in the state.
The demise of Mrs Damian came few months after two journalists with the Nigeria Television Station (NTA) in the state, Shola Adewuyi and Abdulazeez Ajinomoh lost their lives.
