Smart, Echocho Pick Nomination Forms; Embattled Oseni Undecided

But for Senator Yakubu Oseni who is representing the Central Senatorial district of Kogi State, his incumbent colleagues, Senators Smart Adeyemi and Jibrin Isah Echocho have purchased and picked their expression of interest and nominations forms.

While Adeyemi picked his forms yesterday, Echocho has picked his today, as both have gone ahead to present the forms to Governor Yahaya Bello for his blessings.

Baring any last minute change of mind, Senator Oseni may not be buying the forms owing to the reported endorsement of the former Commissioner of Works, Alh. Abubakar Ohere presented as the choice of the state Governor.

Recall that Ebira Reporters had reported the supposed anointing of candidates under the All Progressives Congress in the state for the National Assembly elections.

However, a source close to Oseni said he will not be running, and has now resigned to completing his term in office.

“Even most of his supporters who used to be regulars in his house, have all started disappearing one by one despite all he has done,” he said.

Meanwhile, Ohere has also picked his forms, and all smiles while presenting them to Governor Bello for blessings.

Ohere, notable in the district as a grassroot politician, was the third APC aspirant for the seat to pick the forms, after Hajia Ramatu Shehu Atta, and Alh. Dalhatu Sheriff.

The APC Senate primary is scheduled to hold on Tuesday 24th May, 2022.
