The Chief Medical Director of Reference Hospital Okene, Professor Solomon Avidime, on Friday paid a courtesy call on the management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara.
The Vice chancellor of the University, Engr. Prof. Salawu Sadiku was overwhelmed by the visit.
The CMD RHO, speaking at the roundtable meeting, highlighted the several mutual benefits of the world class medical health facility to the management.
He stated that the hospital can serve as clinical and research facility for the medical related students, and also as the teaching hospital for the students of the proposed medical faculty of the University.
He also stressed the fact, that the hospital is highly available in rendering health care services at affordable rate to the staff and students of the institution.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sadiku appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for his outstanding performance in the area of education that birthed CUSTECH and in health that resulted to the establishment of the world class Reference hospital sited in Okene.
He appreciated the visit of the CMD (Prof. Avidime), stating that the establishment of the giant health facility close to the University, will give an accelerated establishment of the planned medical faculty of the institution and also swift accreditation by the accreditation bodies.
The Vice chancellor thereafter took the CMD and his visiting team to the developing sites of the University where over 10 different structures for various faculties were close to completion.
