#RecallNatasha: Court Reverses Earlier Decision, Okays INEC to Receive Petition

The Federal High Court in Lokoja has vacated its earlier interim injunction stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from receiving or acting on the petitions seeking to recall Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Justice Isah Dashen had granted a motion ex-parte brought before the court on Thursday by Anebe Jacob Ogirima against INEC.

The plaintiffs through their counsel, Smart Nwachinemere claimed the said petition contains fictitious signatures and names of Kogi Central constituents.

However, few hours after, the court has rescinded the order, giving way for the recall to scale through to INEC.
