The Former Kogi State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Prince Salisu Sani Ogu has reportedly been attacked and beaten up by gun wielding mobs.

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at his father’s house in Ukwaja, Idah Local Government Area of the state, Ebira Reporters gathered.

An eye witness reported that the attack was not far from the Ogu’s opposing stance against the recently compiled list of All Progressives Congress (APC) executives in the local government.

The list is reportedly not in the favour of Chief Edward Onoja, the Deputy Governor whom the former Commissioner is loyal to.

His stance has reportedly resulted into a battle of supremacy with the Idah Local Government Chairman, Mr. Abuh Odoma, hence the attack while Ogu was conducting a parallel inauguration in his father’s compound.

He was rushed to General Hospital Idah where he got first aid treatment.

Ogu served as Commissioner in the first tenure of Governor Yahaya Bello, and one of those who were not returned in the second administration.
