It was a moment of reflections and joy as the traditional rulers of Ebira land ably led by His royal Majesty, Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Dr. Ado Ibrahim on Tuesday recieved the newly appointed Chief Medical Director of Reference Hospital Okene, Prof. Solomon Avidime at his Azad palace, in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Prof. Avidime was on a courtesy visit to the palace, and to pay homage following his appointment as the pioneer of the hospital.
He noted that good things have been recorded during the reign of Alh Ado Ibrahim, and the Reference hospital sitting beside his palace is one that will attract lots of medical tourists to the land.
He promised to bring his wealth of experience in medicine and administration to deliver the best medical care for the people of Ebira land and the world in general.
The traditional rulers expressed their joy for having a world-class hospital sitting in their soil and having their own industrious son as pioneer CMD of the hospital.
While reacting, the Ohinoyi of Ebira land expressed his gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for bringing a state of art medical facilities to Ebira land and also reiterated that the new CMD is a gift to Ebira land to be a pioneer CMD.
He stated that Prof. Avidime hails from a renowned family and has distinguished himself in the world of medicine with remarkable professional achievements.
The Monarch promised to give all support necessary of him to make the hospital a success and prayed that the new medical facility records ground breaking success in delivering adequate medical needs to the people of Ebira land and the large number of people who will be coming from far and near to take advantage.
The other traditional rulers present, also expressed their readiness to partner with the management of the hospital in order to have the best for their subjects.
In company of the CMD were, a senior medical practitioner based in Minna, Niger state, Dr Yahaya Ibrahim Oniwon; and the Matron of Reference Hospital Okene, Mrs. Rosemary Ugorji.
Others stakeholders stakeholders included Alh Kashim Ihima, Hon Amoka Zubair and the Okene Local Government Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Yakubu Gowon.
